The world's finest Cashmere Shawls and Scarves - The ultimate indulgence.
PASHLOOM uses the purest Cashmere brought down from Ladakh, which lies high over the great Himalayan mountain ranges on the edge of the Tibetan plateau.
The Cashmere comes from the changra goat capra hircus.
In a manner unchanged over the centuries, changra goats are lovingly reared by Tibetan nomad herders.
In the spring they gently comb out the thick soft undercoat which has kept their goats warm through the long freezing winters.
The yarn is spun by hand. Weavers then emphasise textures with yarns and weave patterns of varying density.
Metallic yarns are introduced to give a delicate shimmer, yet are so worked that the natural softness of the wool is not affected.
